In my school, I am considered 'weird' because I like reading and debating, I am extremely passionate about science, and I think that the Fibonacci sequence is just about the most amazing thing ever. As a result of this, I have endured much torment from people, many of whom don't even realise how offensive they are being, like the countless people who have remarked "You read books for fun? That's so weird!" or the people who assume that because I am a nerd (and proud of it) that I am really bad at sport. (I actually played club netball for 5 years, and I love hockey and touch) So if I could change one thing in my community, I would change the perception of people who love knowledge, and actively pursue it.
