Living in a share house, it can sometimes be challenging to have much control over the way that your household consumes. I suppose it is kind of similar to when you live with your family and your annoying brother Tom takes 20 minute showers (gosh Tom).
I am lucky enough to live with a pretty environmentally conscious pair, but here are some additional ways we could be conserving water.
1. Combine loads of washing. At the moment we only do seperate loads, and while they're usually pretty big, we could maybe wash our clothes together to save the water from the machine.
2. Wash dishes in two sinks so we don't have to use running water to rinse. We could use the first sink to rinse off and the second to scrub in the soapy water.
3. Shower only for the length of a 3 or so minute song. It will probably be a Beyonce track, let's be honest.. she's a pretty good water saving mascot.
